Flora London Marathon

The London Marathon is the most prestigious running event in the world and is your chance to become a hero for the day. Thousands of excited supporters and live bands will cheer you round the 26.2 mile course which takes you through Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Tower of London and finishes outside Buckingham Palace on The Mall.

Whether you already have a place or would like one of our Gold Bond places, we would love to have you on board as part of our team. Running places are very sought after, so running for CARE is a great way to ensure that you have a place on this great event.

If you run for CARE, we will make sure that you have all the information you need to be fully prepared for the big race, including training and nutritional plans, advice from the experts and past runners. On the day, we will meet you once you have finished and hold a runners' reception for you to meet up with friends, family and supporters.

How to apply:
Apply independently to London Marathon for a ballot place.  By, buying the ‘Marathon News’ the first week in August, (available from all major sports outlets) or request a copy from the London Marathon office; details can be found on www.london-marathon.co.uk.  Ballot entries close towards the end of October every year and all ballot applicants will receive a successful/unsuccessful confirmation in the first week of December.  If you are successful and wish to raise money for CARE International, please contact us from the link below.

CARE holds a number of ‘Gold Bond’ places for the 2007 Flora London Marathon. Apply to CARE for a guaranteed place.  We request each Gold Bond runner to initially send in £100.00 to guarantee his or her place, and then raise a further £1400.00 for CARE.
