Registration Type = Required Register + build a team Register as a 'Sole Mate'

Before registering please read the following terms and conditions: 1. All participants must be at least 18 years of age before the date of the event. 2. Participants will be required to complete a medical form as part of the registration process. CARE has the right to refuse a participant if they are deemed medically unfit to take part. 3. Participants participate at their own risk and agree to indemnify CARE against claims for loss or damage to personal property, of Challenge Series, its employees, servants and agents. 4. Participants will be required to sign a briefing document which is a written version of the verbal briefings you will receive on the day of the event in order to comply with strict health & safety and to ensure each participant is fully briefed before the event. This will be sent prior to the event. 5. All participating teams agree to raise the minimum sponsorship specified for that event - £6,000 per team. This is a condition of participation. 6. In order to secure your team’s participation in the event, CARE must receive a Registration Fee of £500 per team within 2 weeks of registering. A 2nd Registration Fee of £1,000 per team will need to be sent to CARE at least 2 weeks before the event. These amounts count towards your fundraising targets and are non-refundable (please refer to Term 8 for exceptions). The remaining balance of your pledge is to be settled within 1 month following the event. 7. If your team is unable to participate in the event for any reason (including by failing to raise the required level of sponsorship) or the event is cancelled for any reason beyond our control, then these Registration Fees will be retained by CARE as a donation. 8. If you provide notice of your teams withdrawal from the event in excess of ten weeks prior to the event date you will be refunded your Registration Fee if necessary. Otherwise it will be retained by CARE as a donation. 9. Time penalties will apply to teams that fail to bring all items on the specified event kit list supplied by CARE. 10. Due to the size of the event, each team is allowed to bring only one vehicle, which can be a people carrier or a 12-15 seat minibus. Time penalties will apply to teams bringing more than one vehicle. As part of your support we provide teams with access to online resources. Please check the box below to agree to use CARE’s name and logo on the following terms and conditions: 1. You will use the name and logo in accordance with the branding guidelines provided in the online resources; 2. You will use the name and logo in only for fundraising for CARE International and in connection with your participation in the CARE 3 Peaks UK and for no other purpose; 3. You acknowledge that CARE International as a secular humanitarian organisation working towards ending world poverty has a reputation that is critical to its work. Accordingly you agree that you will not do anything in connection with your use of the CARE International name and logo that might damage the reputation of CARE International; 4. You acknowledge that this permission is personal to your team and is not assignable or transferable to any other person.

I accept the Terms & Conditions of entry and understand that I am agreeing to pay the Registration Fees as outlined above. A copy will be sent to your email address for future reference.

Help

There are two ways to register for our Challenge events, either as a teamleader who is ready to go on to build a team or as a Sole Mate who is looking for a team to join.

Register and build your team – register as a teamleader and once your account is activated you can invite potential team members to join you through the Build my Team area.

Register as a ‘Sole Mate’ – if you don’t have a team ready to take part but are keen to join one on a CARE Challenge event, register here as a Sole Mate where you can join the online forum to either join an existing team or build one with fellow Sole Mates.

NB.Please note registering as a Sole Mate does not guarantee you a place on an event unless you are successful in joining an existing team to take part in the Challenge with. The Terms & Conditions here will only come into effect once you have joined a team and are actively taking part in an event with them.
