CARE for a challenge?

CARE International is offering the opportunity for biking enthusiasts to break the cycle of poverty and make the journey all the way from London to Paris.
The event will raise much needed funds for CARE’s work in helping 55 million people in nearly 70 countries find routes out of poverty.

CARE’s challenge for cyclists will see participants leaving London on 16th July and passing through the tranquil English countryside, taking the ferry from Portsmouth to Ouistreham, and cycling through quaint vineyards and picturesque villages all the way to Paris- where, after achieving 230 miles in three days, a champagne finish awaits!
This Challenge forms part of the 2009 CARE Challenge Series, a set of twelve exciting outdoor events which offer participants the opportunity to challenge poverty and challenge themselves.
In 2008, the CARE Challenge series raised over £1 million- funds which went to support the organisation’s aid and development work in the world’s most poverty stricken countries- and the team hope to top this figure in 2009. Places are still available for anyone interested in taking part.
