CARE Challenges the Fashion Retail sector
Leading overseas development agency CARE International is delighted to announce the launch of the third Prima Solutions Adventure Challenge, exclusively for the fashion and fashion retail industry.
The event, set to take place on 21st June 2008, will see teams from the sector face the challenge of the great outdoors in the stunning Lake District, whilst raising much needed funds for CARE. Aimed at testing participants’ physical and mental boundaries, the Adventure Challenge will see teams taking on a tough mountain biking challenge, followed by a canoe relay on beautiful Coniston Water and finishing with the ascent of the famous Old Man of Coniston - with the goal of completing the entire challenge in under 12 hours!

CARE International is one of the world’s top three aid and development agencies, fighting poverty and injustice in over 60 countries around the world and helping 55 million people each year to find routes out of poverty. Projects range from emergency relief and primary health care to promoting sustainable agriculture, developing savings loans schemes and many other programmes which promote long-lasting change for the better.
Neil has high hopes for the event. “The Prima Solutions Adventure Challenge is one of the most fun and unusual challenges in our series of 13 fundraising events. Team numbers and participation have increased each year, with last years’ fundraising total topping £60,000! We’re confident we can do even better this year, so we urge teams to get signed up while there are places available!”
CARE’s Challenge team offer specialist advice on training and fundraising, and will be with teams every step of the way. The final challenge of the event will be summoning enough energy for the post-event reception where teams can toast the top fundraisers and celebrate a huge achievement!
