A mountainous challenge for the legal sector

Many of the events in the CARE Challenge Series are aimed at specific sectors. This is because our events are not only fantastic fundraisers, they also double as unrivalled teambuilding opportunities within companies, and networking events across an industry.

This year’s series of sector-specific events includes the CARE 3 Peaks Challenge supported by Law and More, exclusively for the Legal sector. If your work is related to law, this is your opportunity to take on an infamous challenge alongside your intrepid counterparts from other firms. Take on the most infamous UK mountain challenge: the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours!

White and Case’s Kirsty Scott took part in the 3 Peaks Challenge last year.  Kirsty identified the event’s great teambuilding value: “It was a fabulous event. Really, really well organised and a real challenge.  It was absolutely great for team building- especially across the different sectors within the firm, and between support and different practice groups.

 

We entered 2 teams in the CARE 3 Peaks challenge last year, and the teams were made up of people from different floors, different projects… people who don’t usually get the opportunity to work together, and when you get these people all together doing a physical challenge it’s fantastic. It also got people working together in a completely different way, with teams made up of people of varying fitness levels and varying positions within the company, all undergoing the same challenge, with a lot of preparation beforehand. It was fabulous."

In taking on a sector-specific challenge, you will have the opportunity to network with people from your industry, experience some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK and at the same time help some of the poorest people in the world overcome the challenges they face on a daily basis.

The current record for the CARE 3 Peaks Challenge is held by Ashurst, undefeated since 2007, whose team of agile young lawyers completed all three mountains in a staggering 19 hours 37 minutes!
