New Year challenge for the Construction Industry

Sign up to shed those Christmas pounds in the New Year!  Aid agency CARE International is looking for teams from across the construction industry to take part in the CARE Construction Challenge on Saturday 30th June 2012.

Last weekend David Alchin, of Suffolk, took part in CARE International’s Walk All Over Poverty campaign. David and 51 locals, friends and colleagues from Carillion Local Government Services and Suffolk Council walked over 19 miles, raising over £900 for CARE’s life-saving work with people affected by overseas disasters and conflicts.

Supporters Walk All Over Poverty on 1st October

Over 200 people congregated in Windsor on Saturday to ‘walk all over poverty’ for aid and development charity CARE International. The event, now in its second year, is set to raise over £30,000.

Four intrepid construction workers from Camden have teamed up for charity, and will take part in the CARE Construction Challenge on 2 July. The challenge, aimed at teams from across the construction industry, will raise funds for leading international aid and development agency CARE International.

Four crosses man William Rowntree, 35, challenged himself for CARE International on 27-30 July, by taking part in the Skyline London to Paris Cycle Challenge. William raised over £1300 for the leading international aid and development agency.

Selhurst woman Lee Webster is challenging herself for a cause close to her heart, and will take part in the CARE London to Paris Cycle Challenge on 30 June- 3 July. The challenge will raise money for leading international aid and development agency CARE International, for whom Lee is a very passionate Campaigns Manager.

Windsor is to play host to a charity walk for the second year running, raising funds to help support people affected by disasters overseas.

Leading overseas development agency CARE International has laid down the gauntlet for the Construction industry in the shape of the CARE Construction Challenge on 2 July 2011.
