Join the CARE London to Brighton Cycle Challenge
Now in its third years, the CARE London to Brighton Cycle Challenge will take place on Saturday 12th May 2012. The challenge will raise vital funds for leading international aid and development agency CARE International. In the last year, we worked in 84 countries, supporting 1015 poverty-fighting projects that reached more than 122 million people.
Following the final refreshment stop, you will complete the last leg of the cycle ride over the South Downs and up the renowned Devil’s Dyke, which provides stunning views of the South Downs and Brighton.
The scenic route winds through idyllic country roads, avoiding main roads where possible and will be clearly arrowed. Marshals will be situated at key locations as well as guides cycling with you to ensure your safety throughout the day.
CARE Challenge Manager Neil Munro says, “The CARE London to Brighton Cycle Challenge is an important event for CARE, both in terms of fundraising and in engaging with our supporters. Through the 11 outdoor events in the 2012 CARE Challenge Series, we hope to raise £850,000, and we’re extremely grateful to all individuals who have already signed up.”
CARE hopes to raise over £20,000 from this challenge, so if you fancy a challenge then you can still sign up for the CARE London to Brighton Cycle Challenge.
