This is the event for all IT professionals - whether you work in an IT department or the IT industry - join our IT 3 Peaks Challenge and climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours!
You will begin this tough but exhilarating 3 Peaks Challenge in the beautiful Scottish highlands by ascending the mighty Ben Nevis (1,334 m) on the Saturday afternoon. Next up will be Scafell Pike (978m) in the Lake District, followed by the final mountain, Snowdon (1085m) in Wales on the Sunday afternoon. After completing the challenge, you will enjoy a celebratory meal, awards ceremony and party with other people from across the industry. This is a great way to get out of the office and enjoy the countryside with colleagues and friends.
The minimum fundraising target is £6000 per team and funds will support CARE’s work helping more than 59 million people a year in 70 countries find a route out of poverty. For example, your £6000 could set up more than 6 village schools in remote parts of India, providing training and support for teachers as well education materials allowing children to receive a basic right – an education.
In the last two years alone, the CARE 3 Peaks Challenge has raised over £150,000, helping some of the poorest people in the world overcome their own challenges caused by poverty. Read the 2009 post event report here>>
You will be supported at every stage of your IT 3 Peaks Challenge with pre-event training and fundraising support, as well as safety provisions on the day including a team radio and experienced guides on route.
