Fundraiser of the Month

Banner Group ? August 2007

An intrepid team of four Challengers and a support crew from Banner Group have signed up to take part in our Prima Solutions Adventure Challenge this September.  It seems that although the hiking, biking and canoeing may present a daunting challenge to the team, they have mastered the fundraising and raised over ?5,000 already!
      

The team from Banner have left no stone unturned in their search for funds.  As such their fundraising endeavours are numerous and varied to say the least!  The team leader; David Barrett comments on what exactly they?ve been up to:

"As part of our efforts to raise funds and raise awareness of CARE, the "BANNER Team" organised a few pub crawls and car boot sales, which meant dressing up in various guises, from a lady of the night to an Elvis look-alike. Fun was had by all however and despite not being able to drink, we did manage to take ?1,500 of loose change out of circulation and bank it in CARE's name."

Further to this David has been leading expeditions up Scafell Pike in preparation for the event ? a true team leader!  Their fundraising and event preparations don?t stop there; with more street collections and pub crawls planned for the coming weeks, we?re sure they?ll exceed all fundraising expectations.
