How many walkers should we have in our team?

How many walkers in a team
How many walkers?
The amount of walkers depends on which event you are taking part in. For a classic 3 Peaks, the minimum is five and the maximum is seven. A team larger than seven is more likely to split leaving one party without a radio. It is also more difficult to match the physical abilities of each member in a larger team. The impact on the environment is an important factor in limiting the numbers in a team. For safety reasons, we do not recommend that you have any fewer than five for a 3 Peaks Event.

For the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge and the Kaplan 3 Peaks Challenge, we ask that each team will have a minimum of four walkers and a maximum of five walkers to start each of the three mountains. For the Three Peaks Ireland and 24 Peaks, we ask that you have between four to six walkers per team.

For our Prima Solutions and Total Objects Adventure Challenges, we require teams of four. This is due to the allocation of canoes and mountain bikes per team.
