Join us to cycle a London and Surrey loop based on the Olympic Road Race. This is the perfect challenge for cycling enthusiasts and novices as you will have the opportunity to complete a significant part of the Olympic circuit.

You will set off on your bike through Richmond Park, crossing over the Thames at Richmond Bridge. After passing Hampton Court, you will enjoy a riverside stretch to Weybridge before reaching the suburbs of Surrey.

After pedalling through idyllic country lanes of rural Surrey, you will gradually climb onto the North Downs. The final stretch of the route takes you up Box Hill, via the Zig Zag Hill, where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the area.

After a well-deserved break, you will continue to cycle along the route via Esher and Richmond Park to finish near Putney.

Why join our CARE Gold Bike Ride?

This is a great way to get fit and embrace the Olympics with friends, family or work colleagues. Funds raised will help support CARE’s work to alleviate the suffering of the world’s poorest people, so every drop of sweat will be worthwhile.

He has now become part of a CARE supported savings and loans group, which equips members with the skills and tools to save money together and loan money to members to generate income.  Through the scheme Narcisse took out a loan to purchase his own bicycle which he uses to operate a bicycle taxi to earn a living.

What is included on the CARE Gold Bike Ride?

  • Marked route & directions
  • Marshals on route

  • 2 refreshment stops (refreshments will be provided at the first stop and lunch will be provided at the second stop)
