Volunteering
Without volunteers to staff the events we simply couldn’t run them. So if you would like to be involved and donate your time to staffing an event, then we would love to hear from you! You can help out on your own or with some friends or colleagues.
Read a testimonial from one of our volunteers... Danny Freeman

I went on to do the Challenge four years in a row and each one was better than the last. Taking part in the Challenge and raising funds for CARE was a great feeling. I unfortunately left the company that was taking part in the challenges and felt a little left out.
After speaking to Neil and Michele, they suggested that I should consider being a volunteer and help out behind the scenes. I attended the Challenge Series Volunteer Training Weekend in the Brecon Beacons, and got my first taste of what's actually involved in running the events.

I hadn't realised the amount of organisation that goes into the events. We have to be there to set up before the first team arrives at each mountain and then be there again when the last teams come down and cross the finish line!
At the end of my first event it was satisfying to know that we got 20+ teams up and down three mountains successfully and safely. This is now my third year as a CARE volunteer and I normally do around four events each year. I may not be raising funds for CARE as part of a walking team anymore, but giving up a few weekends to help CARE in running the events make it worth while."
